The Paper Variety;1-2-3 challenge

Good Morning! I am so excited that I will be sponsoring some great challenge blogs for, well just about the rest of the year. For the next couple months I will be sponsoring The Paper Variety and then after that I will be sponsoring Frosted Designs. YIPPPEEEE!!!

So today I have some projects to share with you from the DT, we were invited to play along with this week's challenge at The Paper Variety. Both Abby and April are on the TPV design team.

The possibilities are endless with this challenge. Basically all you have to do is use the recipe of YOUR choice. For more details, inspiration and to enter the challenge head over to The Paper Variety. Here is what Artful Delight's team came up with.

All projects created were using the April kit. Here is my project:

I used 1 ribbon-2 buttons-3 twine! The Jenni Bowlin paint dabber that is in the kit is so much fun!! That is what I used to make the circle. The only things that weren't in the kit was the micro mini alphas in black I used in the title and the yellow and brown twine. The kit does include the alphas I used for "zoo" and it does include twine from The Twinery in Peapod.

Next up is Courtney's card!

Courtney's recipe is 1 chipboard die cut-2 words-3 buttons. Now Courtney used the paint dabber to color the chipboard frame. Oh this card is so cute. I LOVE it!

And last but certainly not least is Debbie's fabulous LO!

Debbie's recipe is 1 button-2 chipboard frames-3 pattern papers. So CUTE!!! April's kit is packed with a ton of cute embellishments. So be sure to play along over at The Paper Variety for your chance to win this month's kit.

Also don't forget to enter my anniversary giveaway, it ends March 31st. Be sure to stop by Debbie's and Courtney's blogs for full details about their projects.

psst....be sure to scroll down for the giveaway! You can't have a blogoversary without a giveaway!!

Later today I will post April's monthly kit reveal. But for now I have a card to share with you that I created for the sketch challenge over at The Sweetest Thing, Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 109. I had so much fun making this card once I won the battle against my printer. See I bought a digi kit from Two Peas called Easter Garden from Hero Arts. I was having a heck of a time getting my printer to print the image right. I was using a program called Inkscape, I use it to vectorize images to use with my SCAL but I can also use it for other things and I was having a really hard time getting it to work in my favor. Alas, many pieces of printer paper later, I WON THE BATTLE!! LOL! Anywho, I first saw this digi kit being used on Lucy Abrams' blog and I immediately fell in love. I have seen some of her video tutorials before but I am not sure I ever visited her blog. Thank you to Abby for linking to her blog. I am IN LOVE with Lucy's work. Since Kraft is my absolute favorite and Lucy uses Kraft in a lot of her work, I was immediately inspired.

So I bought the digi kit and used the following sketch.

The pattern paper I used is from Echo Parks Springtime collection. That collection is so bright and colorful, I just LOVE it!

Ok, now for the fun stuff!!! THE GIVEAWAY!!!! I want to thank everyone that visits my blog, all the friends that I have met online, my kit subscribers and ESPECIALLY my wonderful Design Team. Without any of you there would have been no reason to keep posting, to make the monthly kits or to have these wonderful giveaways. Every day I look forward to sitting down at the computer with my cup of coffee and reading all the crafty blogs. I have learned so much over the year and I am excited about all the new stuff I will learn in years to come. As most of you will agree the crafting world has some of the most wonderful people!

**edit - This giveaway is open to international crafters, I would just ask if you win that you cover the shipping charges**

Ok, enough of that for now, lol! You guys want the giveaway details. Ya ready for it?????? Who would like a 3 month subscription to Artful Delight's kits? Anyone? Well that is what is up for grabs. Oh yeah! So now I want to make sure that EVERYONE can participate so there are a few additional details, if you are already a subscriber you will have your choice of getting refunded for the 3 months or a box of goodies, to include many collection packs from your choice of manufacturers and if you are on the DT and you win you will get that box of goodies with your choice of manufacturers. Does that make sense?

All I ask is that you become a follower. Also if you are on the DT or a subscriber and you want to enter, in the comments please leave me a list of companies you just LOVE! :-) If you would like to spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog please leave another comment, so you have more chances to win!

If you have any questions feel free to email me! This giveaway will end on March 31st at 11:59pm EST.

Hagerstown City Park LO

I am having a great time on spring break, not really doing anything just hanging out a bit stress free. I really did take for granted all the time I had prior to going back to school. I am sad this week is almost over and looking forward to the break in between Spring and Summer sessions. :-)

Today is the 24th which means this month is coming to an end. Tomorrow I will have the reveal of April's kit and it is PACKED with scrappy goodness.

But today I have a WONDERFUL LO to share with you that Debbie created. Oh this is a beauty.

I LOVE all the details in the LO, all those flowers. I really do love ALL of Debbie's LO's. Please stop by Debbie's blog for more details and inspiration. And don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the reveal on April's kit. :-) I will try to be back later today to announce the winner of this month's sketch challenge.

Altered notebook

Good Morning! Yesterday was a fabulous day. I spent the first part of the day wandering around Wal-Mart by myself just having some "me time". I bought stuff but I was there for almost 2 hours. What the heck, I need to get out more often. LOL! Then we had some family gardening time. Well it was in the house at our kitchen table. :-) Tony and I are trying to grow vegetables and so we started the seeds under lights in our basement a couple months ago. They have all started to sprout so we needed to replant them to bigger pots until we can get them outside. Plus we bought more seeds so we had to plant them. Isabel and Lil Tony helped fill the little dixie cups with dirt, oh my they were having a blast. :-) Then we had an amazing dinner. Homemade buffalo chicken strips, jalapeno poppers, coleslaw, and macaroni salad. It was delicious. Then I made some pillow cases for my kids while Tony worked on some school work. And we ended our evening with some homemade chocolate chip cookies and some ice cold milk while catching up on some old episodes of Bones (on Netflix) LOVE that show. Ahhhhh Spring break is wonderful!!!!! :-)

So it is coming to the end of another month, yikes where is the time going. The bad news is today's project may be the last one showcasing March's monthly kit. The GOOD news is in a few days we will have the reveal of April's monthly kit and it is a fabulous kit. I think I say that each month but I am learning so much from building these kits. New companies, new products, and I am learning how to pack as much as I can in the kits so everyone feels like they are getting an amazing deal. Really you are, there is so much stuff in these kits that if you were to pay full price for each and every item you would easily pay double the price of the kit (maybe triple).

I may ask you to set up a 3 or 6 month subscription (to get the better deals) but really there is no obligation. If you need to cancel for whatever reason I just ask that you give me some notice. If possible a 30 day notice but I understand unexpected things may come up and you can't . With that said I really think you should try out one of Artful Delight's kits. You won't be disappointed. :-)

Anywho, let's get to the fun stuff.....Today I have an altered notebook that April created. Let me just tell you, I will be making that CUTE twine flower. LOVE it. I have the before and after pictures.

I really do love this, it is super cute. This month's kit has been super fun to play with, from all the cute Twig collection products to the adorable owls from the Spotted Owl Soup collection is has been a blast. There is still one kit left. :-)

Please be sure to stop by April's blog for full details about the altered notebook.

Guest Designer - 2 page Birthday LO

Happy Monday morning! I am officially on Spring break and I am super excited. Tony has the day off and we are going to enjoy the time together. Unfortunately it is supposed to rain all day but that's ok.

Today I have a LO to share with you that our guest designer Suzanne created using March's monthly kit. Actually a 2 page LO. Those really intimidate me, I just don't feel I could get everything lined up. I do however, one day want to try one. This Lo that Suzanne is awesome. I love how she did the border around the pictures. LOVE it.

There is only one March kit left, so be sure to grab it up before they are all gone. I will have April kit reveal on the 25th as well as a celebration for my 1yr blogoversary.

I just want to say Thank you to my design team, they all did an AMAZING job this month with the kit. I LOVED every single card and LO!!!

Photo card

Good Morning my friends!!! Oh my I feel so relieved my Macroeconomics mid term is over. It was so crazy I immediately felt the tension release as soon as I hit submit (test was online). I think I did better than I originally thought but I don't think I got an A and I am OK with that. :-)

Today I have a really awesome and cute card that Abby made using March's monthly kit. I would like to mention we only have ONE KIT left. :-)

I LOVE it!!! I really did enjoy this months kit and for those who also got to play with one I DO hope you liked it just as much. Next month's kit is also going to be amazing and I am really excited for the reveal on the 25th.

Please visit Abby's blog for full details on the card!

Look whoo's 2 and Miss you much

Good Morning! Well today I am hoping to get in to mid-terms before 11am when I have to go to my Accounting class. The most important and stressful one (the one I will take first) is my Macroeconomics. This test is worth so much of my grade and it is closed book. I have the biggest brain freeze when the word "test" comes up. I could feel the most prepared but say test and sit me down to take one and I literally draw a blank.

So needless to say I feel like a ball of stress. I am up early, getting in some last minute studying, trying to have a relaxing morning so I can have a "free" mind when I get to school. Oh I will be so happy when 11am comes around. Then if I have time I will take my College Success Skills mid-term. I am not sure if other colleges have a class like this but I think it is stupid. I may have said this before but it is required for any degree. Basically it is to help you manage your time and be stress free. But the way the book is worded seems to be directed more towards college students starting straight out of high school. I don't feel I learned anything from the class and it took so much of my time each week that I couldn't give more of my focus to any class that really means something for my degree. I am so glad it is over this week (it was only a 10 week class).

Ok, well enough about school! LOL! Today I have 2 projects to share with you, one from Courtney and one from Abby.

Another clean and simple yet BEAUTIFUL card from Courtney. I love how she can make such a "simple" card be so elegant and fabulous. And yes she used my FAV the Basic Grey Woolies.

Abby's LO is so bright and cheerful, I love all the details she used. And the title, so cute. :-) This LO was created using the latest sketch challenge over at The Paper Variety. Be sure to stop by and try to play along, this sketch is fabulous.

I know I am going to try my hardest to play along this week. Oh and don't forget about Artful Delight's sketch challenge. Upload your project for your chance to win April's monthly kit. Also be sure to stop by Courtney's and Abby's blogs as well as The Paper Variety for some fabulous inspiration!!

Not 1, not 2....

.....but THREE fabulous projects for you today. Oh yeah!!!

So I decided I can't be an Accountant. LOL! I was working on my homework last night for an hour (at least) looking for a $200 difference in over a million dollars worth of transactions. Most of our homework is done by hand meaning we write the "transactions" on paper but each semester our Prof has us work out some computer problems. This one was a comprehensive problem going over 12 chapters of stuff we have learned. There was at least 30 transactions totaling like $1.2 million and I was off by $200. AHHHHHHHhhhhh!! I went through each transaction, added and re-added. Made sure everything was posted in the right account and so on until the light bulb went on. LOL! The very last entry was recording some interest accrued, I calculated the interest for only 2 months and not 3 (which I was supposed to). I can't count, LOL!!! October to December is 3 months not 2. Ok so that may have been pretty confusing to all of you (unless you are an Accountant) so I apologize but I had to get it off my chest. LOL!

OK, on to the fun stuff. I have a LO from Debbie and a card from Courtney to share with you and I also have a LO that I created for a sketch challenge at Sketches in Thyme.

First I have card to share with you that Courtney created using March's monthly kit (we have 3 left, wahooo!).
I LOVE the clean and simple look to this card. Gives its full focus on those cute butterflies. :-)

Next I have a LO that Debbie created

I am so totally inspired by Debbie's work. This LO is absolutely fabulous!!!

Next I have a LO to share with you that I created using Basic Grey's Olivia collection. I love all the pink in that collection, perfect for a LO of my oldest daughter (when she was a wee little girl, sniffles).

(so I know I spelled "cheese" wrong but I seemed to have run out of the letter "e", oh well spelling it "cheez" gives it some character, right?)

About 13 yrs ago I made a scrapbook for my daughter and it was to document her 1st year. This poor scrapbook has been through so much, probably 10 different moves(we used to move A LOT), in and out of one box or another and opened and closed more times than it could handle. But the most disturbing was my amateur scrapbooking style. Oh my goodness each page looked like a sticker factory blew up on it. I just glued down like 5 pictures that I cut with my scallop scissors and then filled in the spaces with stickers. YIKES!

So I was extremely happy when my daughter agreed to let me "re-do" her scrapbook. The difference in the products that are available to us now and what was out there 13 yrs ago, sheesh scrapbooking has come a long way over the years.

Ok, anywho, this LO I got a little sewing machine happy and made a lot of stitches. The LO is based off this sketch.

Well I hope we were able to inspire you today. Don't forget about the sketch challenge we have going on this month. Get the details and upload your project HERE for your chance to win April's monthly kit. :-)

And please be sure to give some comment love over at Debbie's and Courtney's blogs.

He's Proof

...that things do happen for a reason. I truly believe that!!! I believe all the decisions in my life, all the crap I went through, one horrible relationship after another, one financial struggle after another has brought me to the happy place I am in. I have an AMAZING boyfriend and FOUR beautiful children. I may not be wealthy with money but I am wealthy in the love and happiness that surrounds me!!!

With that said I have got an adorable LO to share with you today that our Guest Designer, Suzy, created!!

OOOhhhh here are those Basic Grey Woolies again, I CERTAINLY LOVE those. I LOVE everything about this LO. I like how she used the canvas border stickers to document how old the little guy was in this picture. Super cute and creative. For more information about this LO please visit Suzy's blog.

Hope Owl's Well

Good Evening! I had to make a super quick post, I meant to play along with this sketch at The Sweetest Thing all week but I waited until today to make anything.

So this is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch. All the items are from March's monthly kit.

So sorry for the crappy lighting and pictures. I might not have posted this if I didn't feel determined to finish what I started. LOL! Hope y'all have a great evening!

Thank you cards

Good Morning and Happy Friday! So next week is my mid-terms. I have mixed feelings about this because the only one that really concerns me is my Macroeconomics mid-term. It is only on monetary and fiscal policies but it is worth 250 points which is double the amount of points I have already accumulated in the class. So really this test could make or break my grade so far. I have an A in the class but even if I get a low B I will drop to a B. So I am nervous about this test. I have a few others too but I am not worried about those. Also one of my classes is over, it was only a 10 week class and next week is the 10th week. YIPPEE!!! It was a required (stupid) class and I will be so happy to focus my time on classes that actually focus on my degree.

Anywho, today I have another card or shall I say cards to share with you that Courtney made. They are these SUPER cute Thank You cards. I really need to make some. I love sending Thank You cards and I know I would send more if I had some readily available to me.
These cards are fabulous! I love how she used the leaf chipboard and offset pattern paper. And the added touch of the twine, just lovely. For full details about these Thank you cards please visit Courtney's blog.

Don't forget about the Facebook giveaway going on right now, it ends tonight at 11:59pm EST.

Birthday Owl

Good Morning! Have I got a cute card to share with you today, this is just fabulous! DT member Courtney created this card and it is darling. Wait I think she said it was for a man (her BFF's husband) so I should call it MANLY!! No really the papers in this months kit have so much versatility. Even with all the blues and greens they can make a super manly card or a darling girlie card. :-)

***********This card is out for Publication***********

LOVE how Courtney made a "nest" out of the twine that is included in the kit, so creative. :-) For more information about this card please visit Courtney's blog.

Had a ruff day

Yippee, I am so excited to share with you what our March's Guest Designer, Suzy, created using March's kit and this months sketch. I LOVE it.

I TOTALLY love how she outlined the heart with the twine. Isn't that pup ADORABLE!!!! This LO is fabulous. I hope you have had a chance to get this month's kit, if you haven't you should snatch one quickly because they are selling fast. We have 4 kits left.
Please visit Suzy's blog for full details about her LO!!! This kit really is a TON of fun! You might be a little intimidated by all the blues and greens but I would certainly give this kit a try, there is a ton of cute papers and fabulous embellishments!!

I am all caught up on my homework but the family has come down with colds, I am hoping to craft tonight and have more fun stuff to share with you tomorrow using March's kit but we will see how the kids are today. Yesterday I thought I was going to have to be admitted to a looney bin! They were sick, they were cranky, they were mean, they were just out of control. You would thing if they didn't feel well they would just chillax on the couch but NOOOOOO! They were just.....YIKES! It was a rough day, fingers crossed today is better. :-)

Crossword Puzzle anyone?

*this is my second post for the day, be sure to scroll down or click here to see the fabulous LO Debbie created using March's monthly kit and this month's sketch*

So ya know the other day when I had like 3 hours to spare on the challenge over at Lasting Memories? Well I am glad that I played along because look what I got
Lasting Memories

My LO was chosen, well me and 2 other ladies. I felt so honored. Thanks to all the fab products in March's kit the LO came together really well. So anywho, I decided to play along again, this week's challenge "You're the boss". So what did I do, I decided to try my hand at another mosaic LO. If any of you have been following for awhile you will recall the last one I made, I was so frustrated that I swore off ever making another. Well to make my life easier I headed to Michaels and bought a 1" punch, something I didn't have the last time around and I had to cut every single 1" square. Yeah I thought I was going to cry the last time I made one but I kept thinking how cool they looked. So this time I had the 1" punch and I had such a FUN time putting this together. I LOVE puzzles so this felt like I was putting together a puzzle and I will certainly be making another.
So all the pictures are of my oldest daughter, from birth to present. So that's it, what do ya think? I might make a little, well, it will be a 12x12 but when I say little I mean just a couple LO's in it and they will all be crossword style. Maybe one for each of the kids and one or two with all of us, The only thing that stinks is it uses a lot of photos. There are 100 spots to put pictures, of course if you use a bigger picture that helps but in this LO I still used about 40-50 photos. I am totally surprised I had that many of her that I hadn't scrapped already.

Anywho, I hope ya like.

Happy Crafting!!

You 2 are a hoot

Good Morning! So yesterday it rained all day here in Virginia, then when the temps started dropping at night, the rain turned to snow. Ridiculous!!! It was a super light ground cover but it was enough to be annoying. It should all melt today since it should get in the upper 40's.

So today I have a fabulous LO to share with you that Debbie created using this month's sketch and kit. I love the way it turned out. Isn't that owl adorable?

Well I am off to snuggle with my little man Max who is not feeling well this morning. I hope y'all can play along with this month's sketch for your chance to win April's kit. Be sure to check out Debbie's blog for full details about this super cute LO!!

This will be a quick post since I am cooking dinner and then heading out to meet with my tutor. :-) All the items on the LO are from the March monthly kit. I will also be submitting this over at Wee Memories. For their Scrappy Saturday Challenge. The theme is "Woodland Friends".

Here is the sketch

And here is my LO

Ok, that's all for now. I should be back with more projects tomorrow.

Happy Saturday!

Hello fellow crafters! Today I have a card to share with you that Courtney created.

What I love about this kit is even with all the blues and greens the papers are perfect for a more masculine card. But with all the cutesie flowers and embellishments it can easily be a girlie card or LO or certainly a neutral card.

I hope you will have a chance to get your hands on this month's kit, if you do I would love to see what you create! Feel free to email me or leave me a comment with a link to your blog post. :-)

Good Morning! Today I have a super cute LO to share with you that April created. Have you seen this month's kit yet? It is a fabulous kit. I have been offering monthly kits for 7 months and this month is the first time I got to play with one and I am so glad I did. It has a bunch of fun papers, blues, greens, birthday theme, owls and the embellishments are so cute. If you saw my posts over the last couple days you will see that the Woolies from Basic Grey are my FAV! :-)
If you haven't had a chance to check out the kit, click here!

April's LO was based on the sketch for this month's sketch challenge. April used the Die Cut paper which is really pretty and those corrugated alphas...ahhhhh LOVE them!! For more details about this LO please visit April's blog.

Cardabilities #26

Good Morning! Today I have some fabulous news to share as well as another card using the March monthly kit. OOoooh I am having a blast with this kit. :-)

So first I would like to share with you that we have added a member to our design team. I am so excited to welcome Abby to our team.

Hello! My name is Tabitha, but friends have called me Abby for 20+ years. I'm a 30-something single mom to one handsome 11 y/o boy, Braydon. We live in central Illinois with our diva kitty, Logan, and mischievous pup, Cooper. I've worked for our school district for nearly 9 years, the last few years as a substitute. I love being a substitute, it brings a variety of new challenges everyday. I've been a creative gal all of my life. It started with drawing, which I won many awards for throughout elementary and high school. Then I dabbled a bit in painting, cross-stitch and crochet for a while. Twelve years ago, I found my true passion in scrapbooking and it's been a complete joy ever since. I also started card-making a year ago. I absolutely love paper crafting and with all the gorgeous coordinating products out there, it makes preserving my photos and memories so easy! I am truly honored and humbled to be invited to the Artful Delight team and I look forward to creating with all of you!

I think Abby's work is amazing and I cannot wait to see what she creates with Artful Delight's monthly kits. I feel so honored to have such an amazing team and they have all helped me out greatly over the last 4 months. I am looking to working with these ladies for many months to come. Please stop by Abby's blog and give her a warm welcome and I am sure you will find some great inspiration there too.

So next I would like to share with you a card I created using a sketch over at Cardabilities.

Ok, I am telling you I am LOVING those Woolies from Basic Grey! SO CUTE!! The pattern papers from the kit are from Jillibean Soup, Spotted Owl Soup, it has such cute birthday themed paper. Everything on this card is from the kit except for the sentiment. The stamp set I used is from Practicing Creativity Designs, Chatterbox set.
